Get out your blue, green, yellow, and red hoodies, friends, because it looks like JLS might be coming back.
Comprising of Aston Merrygold, Oritsé Williams, Marvin Humes, and JB Gill, the foursome shot to fame on The X Factor in 2008.
JLS – an initialism of Jack the Lad Swing – achieved astronomical success in the UK, winning Mobo Awards, Brit Awards, and selling millions of records.
Fans of the group were left devastated in May 2013 when, after seven years together, JLS announced that they would go their separate ways after releasing a greatest hits album and one last UK and Ireland arena tour.
But, they did return for a reunion tour in October 2021 for a reunion tour… and fans think they might have something else up their sleeves now.
Over recent weeks, eagle-eyed supporters of the group have noticed that they’ve been unusually active on their social media accounts, raising suspicion that something is on the horizon.
The band themselves only added fuel to the fire when they responded with a video.
Aston, 35, and JB, 36, filmed themselves alongside a tweet reading: ‘The boys posting on the JLS account better mean there’s a good announcement coming soon, because I miss them, I miss tour and everything’.
Now, the pair neither confirmed nor denied anything in the clip, but their facial expressions did all the talking, as they raised their eyebrows.
‘Interesting 🤔’, they captioned the video, setting the comments section alight.
‘Am I going to have to empty my bank account again 😂🙌’, one follower laughed.
Quoting lyrics from their tune Everybody In Love, another commented: ‘the waits killing me already… every minutes like an hour, every hours LIKE A DAY’.
‘i need another tour asap’, begged one fan.
‘STOP IT NOW’, exclaimed another with excitement.
JLS has posted a handful of times on their official page lately, including a Valentine’s Day pic and a birthday message for Aston… so what do you think they’re up to?
Well, the band did share their excitement over possible new music ahead of their comeback tour, after signing a new record deal.
‘At first we said this was going to be a reunion tour for fun, but this has given us time to pull things together and we’ve been writing and recording,’ Marvin said. ‘We’re very excited.
The guys have come a long way since their Beat Again days, all now grown up and with families of their own.
Marvin, 37, is married to The Saturdays star and TV presenter Rochelle, recently renewing their vows in a stunning Lake Como affair after 10 years. They also share three kids.
Aston is also married to long-time love Sarah Lou Richards, and they have two little ones.
Meanwhile, Oritsé, 36, married fiancée Kazz Kumar in an intimate ceremony in Jamaica last year, and JB is a dad-of-two and husband to Chloe Tangney.
