A woman allegedly stole a car, drove onto a sidewalk and hit six people including two three-year-old girls.
Deanna Cimaglia, 34, is accused of swiping a Honda Accord in Yonkers shortly after 5pm on Wednesday. The stolen car careened into the curb near RG Ortiz Funeral Home in Upper Manhattan and struck the six victims, police said.
Cimaglia tried to flee the scene but was captured and taken into custody.
The two young girls sustained bruises on their faces and bloody noses and were rushed to Cohen Children’s Medical Center.
One woman suffered a broken leg and was transported to Mount Sinai Morningside.
Two other women and a man had neck and back pain and were taken to a hospital.
All the victims were in stable condition.
Cimaglia was suspected to be drinking before she crashed, but did not end up facing a drunk driving charge, the New York Post reported.
She has been charged with criminal possession of stolen property and aggravated unlicensed operator due to her suspended license. She also received a violation for driving without a license.
