The BBC suspended its regular programming from lunchtime yesterday when it was announced that there were concerns about her health.

Coverage continued throughout the day on BBC One, before news broke at 6.30pm that The Queen had died.

The broadcaster has now revealed an altered schedule for Friday, confirming that BBC One will air coverage of the monarch’s death until 6.30pm, with a series of BBC News specials.

BBC Two, meanwhile, has also faced changes to the schedule, with a number of BBC One programmes now airing on the channel throughout the day.
