S Club 7 fans raging after only one member turned up for concert

A crowd of 150 people were left bitterly disappointed after they’d paid to see two members of S Club 7 perform and only one showed up.

Tina Barrett, 46, and Bradley McIntosh, 41, were all booked in to delight fans in the Isle Of White venue, but Tina was a no-show.

The change was made because of contract obligations after the band announced their 25th-anniversary tour, according to the event organisers.

Bradley, who recently unveiled his ripped body transformation, had to carry the show all by himself.

But that didn’t stop fans, who’d paid £23 for the show which sold out in under 90 seconds, from raging.

‘What a letdown. Turned up to find out they can’t perform as S Club as they’ve signed a contract and no Tina. Happy to take everyone’s money though,’ one attendee wrote on social media.

Another echoed: ‘Absolutely raging!! Paid good money to see two members of S Club 7 and only one showed up. We weren’t notified about this either.’

A spokesperson told Isle Of White Country Press it was an ‘incredibly fun and memorable evening’ but they appreciate that it wasn’t ‘the experience customers booked tickets for in good faith’.

They said: ‘Sadly, this situation was out of our hands, and when we booked the show earlier this year there was no speculation or confirmation of an S Club 7 reunion, for which contractual obligations meant they weren’t able to appear for the show we had booked and sold tickets to.’

This comes after S Club fans scrambled to get tickets for their 25th tour, which will see the whole gang –  Bradley McIntosh, Hannah Spearritt, Jo O’Meara, Jon Lee, Paul Cattermole, Rachel Stevens and Tina Barrett – hit up ten UK cities in October.

The band will start in Liverpool on October 13, before heading to Sheffield (14), Dublin (16), Glasgow (18), Newcastle (19), Leeds (20), Manchester (21), Cardiff (23), Nottingham (24), Birmingham (26) and London for a two night S Club party on October 26 and 27 (ain’t no party).

In the much anticipated S Club 7 reunion tour announcement, the band, who last performed together in full in 2015, said: ‘After eight years, it feels amazing to announce that we’re reuniting and performing together again.

‘We’re so excited to bring the S Club Party back to our fans across the country to celebrate 25 years of S Club 7. We can’t even believe it’s been so long!

‘Music and friendship have always been at the core of everything that we’ve ever done. We hope everyone can join us for one big party!’

Even Gen Z are keen to get involved in the proceedings, after S Club were left baffled from young TikTok fans singing the wrong lyrics to their hits.

Tickets for UK dates are available via Gigs and Tours and Ticketmaster, although many of the shows are sold out already.

There ain’t no party like an S Club Party (as long as everyone turns up…).
