It’s the end of an era as Rylan Clark announced he would be quitting Strictly Come Dancing’s spin-off It Takes Two after four years.
The X Factor star, 34, who presented alongside Janette Manrara and Zoe Ball, said in a statement it was ‘time to ‘hang up my glittery jacket and say goodbye’.
‘I’ve had the best time hosting the show alongside Janette and Zoe and I can’t thank the amazing team enough for always putting on a great show,’ he continued.
‘I’ve been welcomed into the Strictly family and will firmly hold that title dear to me.
‘The time has come for me to pass on the baton to someone else and explore what else life has for me.
‘Thank you Strictly, you will always have my heart… and dancing feet.’
The next presenter will of course have some massive boots to fill, but who could replace the one and only Rylan on It Takes Two?
AJ Odudu, who appeared on Strictly two years ago, has been clocking up TV presenting jobs left, right and centre, with her latest being The Big Interiors Battle.
While many would like to see the 35-year-old take the reins of the rebooted Big Brother, we also think she’d also be a great fit for It Takes Two.
Plus, not that she’d need any advice, but she would be able to pick Rylan’s brains about the show, having worked with him on the likes of Big Brother’s Bit on the Side.
Richie Anderson won the hearts of the nation for his highly entertaining and energetic performances in last year’s Strictly.
The 35-year-old would surely bring the same flair and michief if we were to take over It Takes Two from Rylan.
The BBC presenter already has experience on the beloved programme too, having contributed as a guest reviewer previously.
Helen Skelton revealed that appearing on Strictly 2022 had changed her life, telling her partner Gorka Marquez the show helped her remember ‘who she is.’
The 39-year-old would surely then snap up the chance to return to her beloved ballroom floor and the hallowed BBC Studios to chat all things dance.
Helen’s a TV presenter by trade, including on shows such as Countryfile, so she’d be a dab hand with the autocue.
Rose Ayling-Ellis was responsibe for leaving everyone, especially the cast of Gogglebox, in tears, with her moving silent dance on Strictly in celebration of the Deaf community.
One of the most beloved champions of the juggernaut series ever, having lifted the Glitterball Trophy in 2021, viewers would love to see the EastEnders actress back in the Strictly fold.
A staggering 11million people tuned in to watch her win and we’re certain a healthy chunk of those would reach for the remote to see her present It Takes Two.
Since appearing on The X Factor as a popstar hopeful, Fleur East dabbled in the music industry before making waves as a presenter.
The 35-year-old currently presents Hits Radio, which she continued to squeeze in despite the hectic rehearsals for last year’s Strictly.
It Takes Two would be a great first TV presenting gig for Fleur, who made it to the finals of the dancing competition in 2021.
