WWE was without some of its biggest stars as travel issues caused chaos for Raw.
The issues forced the company into some last minute changes for Monday night’s show, with matches like The Miz versus Matt Riddle pulled despite being previously advertised.
At the top of the show as Rey Mysterio was making his entrance, commentator Corey Graves said: ‘We are in for a wild one tonight.
‘Unfortunately, a number of our WWE superstars experienced travel issues and are delayed arriving here in Seattle. With that said, the superstars who are in the house are ready to tear it down!’
Graves and his co-commentator Kevin Patrick still promised a huge show, confirming that Cody Rhodes will still be live on the show to address his brutal beatdown at the hands of Brock Lesnar last week.
The Women’s Tag Team Titles are on the line with Lita and Becky Lynch set to defend against Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez.
Elsewhere, The Usos – Jimmy and Jey – are set to team up against Alpha Academy in another huge tag team match, and in a massive heavyweight scrap Bobby Lashley will battle Bronson Reed.
And in the main event, Kevin Owens is looking for a measure of revenge against The Bloodline’s enforcer Solo Sikoa.
The show opened with new WWE Hall of Famer Rey Mysterio coming out to address the fans, only to be swiftly interrupted by his son Dominik, who appeared solo without his Judgment Day teammates.
Dom shrugged off the suggestion he’s being used by Finn Balor, Damian Priest and Rhea Ripley, instead accuses his dad of using Bad Bunny, with the pair trading verbal jabs until Rey challenged his boy to a WrestleMania rematch.
His son wasn’t interested though, bringing out Finn Balor to face his father in his place.
WWE Raw airs Monday nights at 1am on BT Sport 1.
